Our serving program instructs young Catholic men and women to serve at the altar.  This is a ministry of service offered to and for God.  This is a privileged ministry in which participation with reverence is required.  Servers are directed by the pastor and deacons.  Children from 4th grade and up, having received their first communion may be elect to be Altar Servers.  Prior to serving, they must attend a training session performed by the priest or deacon.  Parents provide the ministry leader with their Mass preferences for scheduling.  The ministry coordinator provides distributes a monthly schedule to the ministry members and the parish office.  The schedule for each week is then published in the bulletin.  Each server is responsible for arranging a substitute in the event of their absence.  Changes in the schedule should be reported to the office prior to publication in the weekly bulletin.
